Windows Me provides support for existing networking technologies, as well as the latest standards and emerging technologies. Now you can take advantage of multiple network technologies at the same time. With Windows Me, you’ll be able to manage them all through a single, unified interface on your computer.

Networking and connectivity technologies supported by Windows Me include:

• Wireless technologies such as Infrared Data Association (IrDA) for connecting computers and devices such as mobile phones, printers, and handheld computers.
• Standard Ethernet types like RJ-45 twisted pair wires and 10Base2 coaxial cable.
• IEEE 1394, a high-speed serial bus standard that provides a higher-bandwidth connection for devices that require fast data transfer, such as digital video cameras.
• HomePNA, a networking technology that uses existing telephone wiring in your home to connect devices without interrupting standard telephone service.
• Power Line Carrier (PLC), a technology that uses existing in-house electrical wiring to transmit data.
